Hi! My name is Amelia.

I am a psychologist and Mom to two. At PsychNextDoor, I am dedicated to providing a warm and supportive environment for families to thrive. My approach focuses on nurturing your strengths and empowering you to overcome challenges that often accompany child development and mental health issues.

I graduated from Queensland University of Technology (Australia) with a Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology. I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS). With over 10 years conducting psychological assessments and delivering therapy services to both local and international clients across the lifespan, I hold experience in a range of settings in Australia and in Singapore, including a community organisation, an autism-focused school, and private practices.

I have received specialised training in and facilitated the following programs, among other social skills groups for children navigating peer relationships, communication challenges, and everyday social dynamics:

  • Circle of Security®: An early intervention parenting program that helps caregivers better understand and respond to their child’s emotional needs.

  • Resourceful Adolescent Program (RAP): A strengths-based program designed to build resilience, emotional regulation, and coping skills in adolescents.

Every family is shaped by their distinct qualities and experiences. Yet, every caregiver plays a pivotal role in nurturing a child's well-being and creating an environment for them to flourish. I hope to help you understand your child's needs and strengthen your bonds through evidence-based approaches rooted in attachment and behavioural theories.
